Thomas was born and raised in Northwest Minnesota, and earned his degree in Business Administration from North Dakota State University. Before joining Financial Advisors of the Black Hills, he worked at Tri-State, Ltd., an insurance holding company, for 16 years. There he served as the company’s Vice President of Accounting, where he handled the company’s investment portfolio and statutory accounting reporting to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Thomas has Series 7 and Series 66 registrations held with LPL Financial.
